Genuinely starting to wonder if the author had some sort of trauma regarding slimy older men who want to marry women who are too young for them just because these women are pretty?! But then also the older men who are supposed to be “the good guys” fawn over the younger girls (I.e. Old Hurricane married a 16 year old when he was 40 🤢).
