The origins of impressionist painter, Camille Pissaro. On one hand I loved learning about Saint Thomas' history, the writing was brilliant but I was SO disappointed in Pissaro's mother. A once spirit girl with dreams of seeing Paris who defied everyone to marry the person she loved became a judgmental stay at home mom to a million kids and tried her best to stop the child who wanted to leave.
