I’m SO beyond glad to have made it to the actual story and left behind that ridiculous crazy waste of time beginning. I’m tired of all the “this was before that” and “after this.” It’s way overdone. Then to have the author come back as that other person and comment on the writing as if he’s explaining the original author’s work…just no. Stop it. The movie is so much better. The writing is just so over the top.

Didn’t read as much as I wanted to today. I like the backstory of the characters and getting to be in each of their heads to know what they’re thinking and feeling. The writing is even funnier and more ridiculous than the movie, just unique and absurd dialogue. It’s admirable how strong and capable Westley is. One bad moment though that is not ok.

June 13 I was so massively confused by the intro, I was bamboozled and bought into the whole thing believing what he made up was true. Only confirmed after a google search and was very disappointed. I’ve never come across anything like that and it’s so weird to do that to readers. It was such a slog through that pretend crap and then borderline cheating, I was like wtf am I reading. I couldn’t take anymore yesterday.
