Operation Bounce House is to Dungeon Carl like The Force Awakens is to a A New Hope. A disappointing mishmash of story elements that goes nowhere and leaving you with a vague feeling of having heard it all before. I listened to the audiobook, and while Travis Baldree is good, he is no Jeff Hayes (though he does play a part). I think even Kaiju Battlesurgeon (?) is a better book.
