This book would improve significantly if Esteban, one of the main narrators, was not in it. No amount of character growth will ever, EVER redeem him. He’s not “complicated” or “flawed.” He is literally a <spoiler>child r*pist</spoiler>. Why is the narrative so focused on his extremely disturbing POV???!!
