do you ever reject an invitation cause you just don't feel like going but you have to make up an excuse so people view it as 'valid'

Yessssss. I just use the excuse of “I’ve been throwing up all morning” cause genuinely half the time that’s true lol
i'll either js say i'm busy or not feeling well
funny thing but this year an old friend of mine who I hadn't seen in years asked me out and I actually did want to see her but I was like absolutely NOT in the mood for going out or hanging out with anyone and I thought a lot about a valid excuse to give her but then I gave up and just said exactly that like "tbh I do want to see you but I am totally not in the mood" and she actually thanked me and said it was refreshing to get an honest answer lmao I was soooo relieved I didn't bullshit her!

Honestly, I’ve never had to do this. I don’t really get invitations. But if I did, then I’d honestly tell them that I’d rather read than be with people😅I’ve told my friends this before, so they should all know.
