I just figured out the ending I think. This is so good and so well written and genuinely hard to see how it continues.

Loving this story. My only quarrel and the boy being killed as a lesson tot he others. I have no idea how this is going to continue in a series and that is fun. You often can guess the ending by halfway through and that is definitely not the case here.

My only guess is that sage is the prince and faked his avveenian accent and backstory. Love the childlike crush on imogen even in the midst of very adult troubles.
