Definitely a plot heavy book, which isn't a bad thing at all. Still not loving Ryan's voice, though it's better in some scenes. No longer thing Vox is in romantic love with Cal, or if he is, he's got total compersion for Cal getting together with Ryan, but I still suspect Damian is threatening Vox with Cal's safety. Really wish they had a female dust narrator, cuz they both suck at women's voices.

The Vox chapters of this book need to fucking die. I always feel so gross listening to how he talks about Naomi, even though she's a fucking adult.
It makes me wonder if I prefer MM books because they're less gross, or if they're just as gross but I don't notice the grossness.

Ugh, not the dreaded p-word. *shudders* And this book doesn't even have an FMC!
I kind of want to compile a list of smut books with FMCs that don't ocne use the p-word outside of a bedroom talk context, which is the only situation where it doesn't completely sleeve me out.

Y'all, I just finished the IKEA scene, and I fucking can't. Not only will I never be able to walk through an IKEA warehouse with a straight face again (much less look at their mirrors), but also... Fucking book boyfriends, man. Yes, I live vicariously through book relationships, but also it's true that they set the bar so fucking high. (Not that I'd want to go quite *that* far.)

Unless it turns out to have been an artistic decision that will.make sense as the character develops later in the narrative, I am supremely unimpressed by the VA for Ryan in this book, which is disappointing since Cal's isn't too bad (although I can't help but think of him as like a discount Teddy Hamilton). I'll have to revisit this once I know for sure if it was intentional, and if it worked.
