I'm really confused where all this language of participation is coming from in relation to 2 Cor. 3-5. I have no idea where anyone is getting this from the text itself. Feels like an imposition of Platonist metaphysics on the text. Haven't made it to the Reformed part of the book yet, so I hope Calvin and Owen come along and fix things up 💪🏻

Good stuff! Really excited for the massive retrieval section coming up. A little sus of the contemplation and participation language (stinks of Platonism), but I think that his reappropriation of it within a Calvinistic/Reformed framework might not be too big of a problem.
