How did the shadow gates work to rescue Lane? Isn’t there no magic there

Carrion gives Garrick energy buuut I’m still suspicious. Like he’s angling for something. His grandma warned him about how dangerous the Fae were so maybe he’s trying to gain power and then betray them?

Ok the whole Oshawa thing… like wouldn’t it be obvious to everyone (all the Fae) that Saeris is special to Fisher. How would that protect her?
Also, the trope that the Fae male knows they’re mates from the beginning (check)

Did Sarah J Maas invent this Fae world? Did she create true mates and all? Or was this like a thing before everyone started writing about it

Okay they really aren’t urgent at all about Daniya’s hand or Lane’s situation.

I feel like Carrion needs to be more. More than just a comedic relief.

I would’ve enjoyed more between Saeris and Carrion. Like more comradery or even flirting to get Fisher jealous. That just all happened so fast. I know what I’m reading but like let’s go for a build up
