OMG YES WAIT I HAVE THOUGHTSOkay so go into this ranting knowing this is one my fave series'
I'd say this is high fantasy in the highest fantasy way you can be; there's multiple languages in this world, different kingdoms and customs, national colors, animals, ethnic and religious minorities, it's all SO THOUGHT OUT like no stone is left unturned when it comes to the lore of Castellane and the surrounding kingdoms 💗
There's also mega political intrigue, and I mean MEGA 🤩 You have to pay attention to alliances and intentions, and follow the threads of why characters make decisions based on this Charter Family or that kingdom
The characters are also super fleshed-out, since this is a slow-paced book. They feel so 3-D, and they're definitely flawed, but they're full of their own dreams and fears and future aspirations / anxieties! The romance is also super slow-burn, like sloooooow
Okay, thoughts over lol 🤣 I hope that convinces you to read it, because this is truly an amazing series!
