End of Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz. Dorothy starts in CA on her back to KS from Australia (last book). Then an earthquake opens the earth so she and the cart she'd been pick up at the train station in, fall into the earth. Then the crack closes. Dorothy, Zeb (farm boy), Jim (horse), and Eureka (D's cat) fall to the center of the earth. There they meet vegetable people and get in trouble. The Wizard shows up too.
