This book is an exceptional vignette on the 80s. It seems so innocent compared to the current complexity of society and technology. I am reading the follow up book in the McInerney tetralogy of books. I previously read (out of order) the third book. As the author of Bright Lights Big City, McInerney owns 80s commentary. It’s fascinating to take a trip back to high school era and see what the adults were doing.
