The second half of the book really picked up and I am hooked

Gaëtan is back and, unsurprisingly, still the worst. Isabelle is apparently ready to risk it all because “no one will suspect a pretty girl,” which feels like famous last words. Meanwhile, Vianne lost her job and is stressed about money, but Rachel has been unemployed for way longer and Vianne barely seems concerned. Girl, is your friend okay???
