An easy read thus far, and well-paced. Zelazny typically starts his stories in media res, and it makes the reader wonder what the heck is going on. And those questions are answered at the right time, not too early, not too late.

It was a quick, two-day read, and it indicates that it was an enjoyable one leaving me wanting more. Apparently, according to a very spoilery review, this was just the first in a five-book series which promises a gradual revealing of the larger world and realities which will take the reader on on rollercoaster. I will continue on to the second book!
