However; I’m one chapter in, and this book already has consistently shown my literary pet peeves. Grammar mistakes (albeit they’re minute, but I have already seen 2) and long sentences. Most of the sentences take up half the page! I feel like they could absolutely have been broken up. This may have needed an editor with a sharper eye for things like this, but it’s early!
