How is it so far?

I'm really enjoying it :D

it's very accessible and gently engaging - he writes in a open and honest way, and his passion about finding information about the Bear gods, and deepening his relationship with them, is easy to feel :)

some of his research is in books and museums, and other parts are talking to Pagans and Druids who have a relationship with Bear.

I've been taking detours to look up some of the things he mentions, especially images of eg bear statues and amulets. :)

the book is nicely structured too - we've been on journeys thru mainland Europe and the British Isles, and I'm currently on the chapter looking more widely for other Bear deities who might also be Artio and Artaois in other forms - like Bear deities who might all come from the same root and/or ancestor... (and it seems the/a Bear deity goes back very very far in human history).
