LOL, this book was supposed to be anticommunist… the author certainly is. The first part was a long polemic against the USSR. But the interviews with the ex-Soviet citizens are completely different. They talk about how they thought they wanted market reforms but they were wrong, and how they used to own houses and were respected as janitors and now under capitalism can’t even afford food. Def not what I expected
