Christian How are you liking these? I listened to the first one and enjoyed it, but still leaned toward the Jim Dale narrations. I’m still considering picking the rest of these up as I love this series and it’d be a fun way to revisit the story, however, I did see some reviews mention the later books voice actor for Harry sounds constantly irritated/angry and there’s a lot of shout-acting. So I have a bit of hesitation from that. Have you noticed any of that so far? I figured it’d start happening around book 4.

The Reformed Reader I just wrapped up book 4. I really enjoyed them. It's such a different kind of experience that it kind of feels new in a way. The actor for Harry did change this book, but I think he's been pretty great. The only gripe thay I have about him being cast is thay I wish they would've waited until book 5 because the contrast between books 3 and 4 is drastic when there were only like 2 weeks between those events. Also, it can be a bit hard to distinguish him from Ron at times, but overall, have really loved them. I would say try book 2 and if the hook isn't set, then stick with Jim Dale (whom I also love lol)
