We did it boys! This was such a well done story - I didn’t know the tale of The Golem of Prague, and I know that creative liberty was taken with this book, but it was so nice learning about Jewish folklore and the importance of storytelling and questioning interpretations of those tales

This was dark at times, but hope was a persistent theme which shone through (danganronpa who!?)

Wrapped up v nicely (4.75 stars)

Honestly wasn’t expecting the death which was handed to me but damn

I had thought the clock would be important cos it was made from the forest but maybe it’s just about racism

The sexual tension in this confession booth is PALPABLE like divas just KISS IM BEGGING 🙏

Also also, not Nimrah flirting using folklore references cos they’re fucking nerds omFG

The pain of discussing the Jewish folklore aspects of this book with my sister and thinking “oh! I know what happened to the golem” only to have my theory destroyed on the very next page.

Maybe the true monster is miscommunication and unreliable dispersion of knowledge (and also maybe repeatedly asking someone to marry you when they already politely declined multiple times)
