okay so, the more i read this the more i have… thoughts. first, i had the wrong expectations: i thought it was a thriller with two women as the main characters, but it’s now 4 brothers and a lady. there is the obsession, sure, but i went ahead and read it for another reason. second, it’s a thriller: i don’t enjoy those, i bought this just for the wlw part to be sincere💔

third… the thrill, for me, it’s missing: of course im curious to know more about lilian and especially anna, but im halfway in and it’s just “oh lilian you would’ve loved this and i really miss you”. like. is the thrill in this room? how much more pages do i have to read to feel thrilled? of course now i think that the plot twist will arrive as soon as we discover anna’s character as a whole, but man at least give me a hint🫩🫩

but i have to be honest, i think that my biggest mistake was reading this right after “sunburn” so my expectations were honestly very high. but it’s totally different and there isn’t a single similiarity. maybe i’ll have to re-read it again in some months
