Late 80s Seattle is fun setting for superhero shenanigans.

Is Seattle Green Arrow's city of residence? I never realized that.

But, in Grell's more mature-reader run in the late 80s, it's explicitly identified as Seattle, complete with Space Needle, Mt. Rainier, Pike Place Market, and everything!
Just before grunge exploded. That's pretty cool. I like when it's not just an NY or LA stand-in. I'm not well-versed in Green Arrow, but always felt the character had potential. This is a good run, then?

It very much reflects the post-Dark Knight grim and gritty aesthetic--this is not a comic that the kiddies were reading--but it's really well done, and Grell's art in Longbow Hunters in particular is fantastic (even if I don't always love his layouts).
Interesting. Nice to see some of the lesser-known heroes getting the TPB treatment. I might have to give this a try.
