Ive been in a reading slump lately and want to move on to some other books so I don’t think i will finish this one. My main goal was to become acquainted with the characters and to learn insights into the Eastern mindset and morality, and I believe my brief foray into this influential piece of oriental literature has given me a foundational introduction to these subjects.

I’ve been long intimidated by this book and glad I have the chance to read it. Knowing the importance and ubiquity of this story as it relates and influences modern China, I think it is an essential read to understand the “Sleeping Dragon” and its people whose influence and power may come to define the century.
