I just found it a bit cringy and not fun which is y for sure bc sapphic vampires is usually something I’d be frothing out the mouth for. Some notes I took while reading (with spoilers):

*THREE SENTENCES LATER*

“… I nearly drank him dry myself for interrupting my bath.”

“I couldn’t wrap my head around this hard and heartless version of Elton she described”…..”His blood always ran colder than most” ??????????

Also why couldn’t hair change?? Are we saying hair is hard and can’t be brushed or cut??? Then how does hair move??? They literally put it in a braid??? Also why would an unshaven patch of hair on the body, are we saying that a razor can’t cut it because it’s hard OR are we saying somehow it grows back?? And why do they have hearts??? Do they have blood then? If so, once again why can’t the body change as the heart does???

If Elton is able keep enrolling in high school, then that must mean he’s able to change his birth certificate and ss card right? You’re telling me in the 30 years that holly spent with him, day AND night, she never saw how he did it so she could do the same? So that she wouldn’t NEED to work at taco bell??? More than that, why not enroll in school, ace it because you’ve taken it a million times, go to college with a scholarship like a prodigy and then get real life skills and use them all over the globe??

Also I HATE the idea of the vampires, once turned, follow the person who turned them forever like huh?

We’re on chapter 4 and she ALREADY got recognized?? Then, to reiterate, how hasn’t the guy gotten caught in ANY way???
