A divide is starting to appear between Griffith and the rest. And Griffith keeps on saving Guys time and again it makes it so hard to even begin to understand how did he end up there. But there are hints along the way, I see them, for example when he thought that Zodd’s existence is proof that there’s something beyond human comprehension something divine/God-like and when Guts said you mean devils?

I fear I’ve grown attached to the Band of the Hawk. And I know for a fact that they’ll probably die horrible deaths and all this moments of joy will come at a high cost. I love this story! I love this world! As horrible and cruel it is, there’s still hope and joy in it! And I love that so much. I cannot wait to start reading the next volume! I’m having the time of my life!

sell out everything and everyone in order to achieve his own ends. I’m really enjoying this time of respite! And I know it won’t last. So I’m trying to savor it. I wonder if will see Zodd ever again. Casca’s jealousy is very interesting! She totally has a thing for Griffith but I don’t get that from him. It’s probably one-sided. I laughed when Guts thought that he’s the one who should be crying.

Griffith replied “who knows? Aren’t they the same thing?” And then again there’s that conversation Guts had with Judeau when the latter was talking about Griffith and how it doesn’t matter if he’s good or evil and that they can’t tell etc. etc. He is very ambitious and driven. And I fear that he’s this calm and collected because things are going well for him but when it all starts to crumble he will

Guts should’ve heeded Zodd’s warning. I got chills.

I really like that Guts’s reaction to his first encounter with something monstrous is pure fear. He was shaking, his teeth chattering, his knees weak, yet he reacted in time like always. I really love him! And Griffith and the rest coming just in time to save the day (or not really) I saw Casca standing in front of Griffith to protect him when Zodd started attacking them. That was a nice detail.

Nosferatu Zodd is totally a vampire isn’t he? Fantastical beings/creatures are starting to show up. Maybe my theory (that Griffith is the one who brought them forth) is wrong. I’m scared for Guts! I wonder if here is where he loses his left arm and right eye but I don’t think so. I have a feeling that it’d be Griffith who takes them. And it’d be horrible to witness. I’m dreading that moment.

And this is just a theory but Griffith ends up opening a portal to another realm and brings about demons and doom to the land doesn’t he? And I have a feeling that he does it for the sake of his dreams. And I have a feeling that I’d totally understand him. Well, I’ll have to see but if that was the case then it seems pretty likely.

The scene of Guts’s charge was breathtaking! I saved it to look at it again. It’s so good. The composition is brilliant! The action is so well done I can see it moving right before my eyes. What a treat it is to read something that has a story good enough to complement such great art! I really love this!
