I already love Volume 2 a lot <3 It feels like it healed me a bit after volume 1
Kind of a random thought, but whenever I read a scene I really like in a book, I always get the urge to sketch it lol, even though I still struggle to turn those ideas into actual drawings 😂

I have yet to dive into danmei! Is this a good series to start with or would you recommend something else? (・・?)

Without spoilers, it’s not 100% comedy—though the beginning of volume 1 may give that impression. The plot is easy to follow and has a good mix of comedy and emotional drama, and it’s not too politically heavy. Not all volumes have been translated into English yet—volume 3 is coming in a few months, if I remember correctly.
Otherwise, I’d suggest MXTX novels like Mo Dao Zu Shi (cultivation + mystery + emotional story), Tian Guan Ci Fu (fantasy + romance + slow burn), or The Scum Villain’s Self-Saving System (comedy + transmigration + satire)
Tian Guan Ci Fu was actually how I first started reading danmei and for some people that's MDZS I think, though I haven’t personally read the third one. :)
