Annaïg is about the same age as her friend Glim, who is 18. The prince is 22, so it passes the “half-plus-seven” rule.
Kinda pisses me off that the only platonic opposite gender relationship is between Annaïg and Glim, the only reason being they physically can’t get together since they are a human and lizard-man respectively.
