You can put this book down and pick it up later; a few weeks can go by, and yet the book is easy to read and follow.

Some complain about the Spanish, the lack of punctuation, but I read this to see what a great writer can do, and this writer hits the top! He writes long sentences, but the sentence flows; he disobeys the rules or bends them, and it works.

Off to a fantastic start, excellent writing style. Sentences that are coupled into paragraphs for good reason... A train, descriptions are vivid. So far so good, I'm in, I dropped Ivanhoe, I just can't get through it. Thank goodness my husband found this book!
