Given the subject matter(s), I wan to like this; I'm trying to. I really hope the action picks up. I am struggling hard to keep reading.

A book that starts with a little girl who likes rocks. This feels like it may be a challenge for me. I do not think rocks can interest me, no matter how they are described.
