This novel is so exciting. Don't know why I sat on this so long before reading.
The protagonist Ellie Chang is a Chinese-American war Coorespondent is jumping on a plane with her portable typewriter after dangling a warm fresh bag of red bean mochi in front of the pilot as temptation so that her pilot friend allows her to tag along on this extremely dangerous mission.
