"Don't you think the things people are most ashamed of are the things they can't help" p. 111 - my brain instantly went to our finitude as humans lol
Trying to pace myself in an attempt to not speed through this too quickly and it's half working haha. I find the dynamic between Orual and Psyche so interesting especially with the older sister/motherly figure dynamic.

"Oh, Orual-to take my, love for you, because you know it goes down to my very roots and cannot be diminished by any other newer love, and then make of it as tool, a weapon, a thing of policy and master, an instrument of torture-I begin to think I never know you. Whatever comes after, something that was between us dies here" p.165
Loving the lines and dialogues about love weaved throughout the book.

This feels very similar to when I was reading The Horse and His Boy, where there are a lot of contextual/cultural elements that I'm slowly piecing together. That, plus getting used to the writing style of the book, but I am definitely intrigued!
