I wasn't expecting romantasy (evidently I didn't read the blurb properly) but got it anyway. I feel like I'm missing a huge load of back story and the world building feels lacking. I've spent most of the book so far wondering about the gaps we've not been told. I'm not sure I care enough to finish.
