Garrett Mickelson How is it? Always thought the first half of these Dune books was an endurance test to get to the second half where the threads begin weaving their intended tapestry.


Emily Branson @ Garrett, idk how to comment directly back to you so I hope you see this. Honestly I agree it took a bit for me to get into the story, maybe up to around page 200. But now that I’m into it I’m REALLY into it, and it’s a lot easier to make connections with the world building now. I anticipated that it would take a lot of “brain power” to get through the story but in spite of the political and environmental complexities, the human motivations are written very plainly and easy to understand. I love it so far!


Garrett Mickelson Glad to hear it. I came to really enjoy his style of questioning and emphasizing certain societal concepts with his world building of Dune. Curious to see what you think as you continue.
