How is it? Always thought the first half of these Dune books was an endurance test to get to the second half where the threads begin weaving their intended tapestry.

@ Garrett, idk how to comment directly back to you so I hope you see this. Honestly I agree it took a bit for me to get into the story, maybe up to around page 200. But now that I’m into it I’m REALLY into it, and it’s a lot easier to make connections with the world building now. I anticipated that it would take a lot of “brain power” to get through the story but in spite of the political and environmental complexities, the human motivations are written very plainly and easy to understand. I love it so far!
Glad to hear it. I came to really enjoy his style of questioning and emphasizing certain societal concepts with his world building of Dune. Curious to see what you think as you continue.
