I wonder how old is Griffith. He seemed a bit older than her. So I’m guessing maybe fifteen at the time? I really want to see Griffith’s backstory. Where did he come from? What happened to him to make him this way? Or was he always like this? I wouldn’t be surprised if he had similar experiences to Casca and Guts. And if that’s why/one of the reasons why he goes around collecting misfits.

I liked seeing Casca’s story. Not so much what happened to her, poor thing. I swear everyone in this world has had rough. And to have that happen to her at twelve years old too is insane. I totally understand her devotion to Griffith now. It reminds me so much of Eren and Mikasa now (from Attack on Titan).

in performance. And it gives Guts a chance to prove her wrong about him not caring about his comrades. So I don’t mind it really! The art is insane! The armor is so cool! I love this series a lot.

I like this chapter! It shows how hard it is for Casca to be in the battlefield. I can’t possibly imagine getting your period right before engaging with the enemy, it must be hell. I only wish that she saved herself but it can’t be helped. And she’s done really well against that misogynistic piece of shit when he cut through the other men in an instant. Plus she’s on her period so that explains the difference

Minister Foss is a scheming menace. But Griffith is onto him. That stare from the end of the hallway was chilling. Princess Charlotte is officially charmed by him. Griffith is very good at this!

Does Griffith hate Guts? Hate is a strong word. It feels more like he is disgusted by him. And sees himself as superior to him (and others) in all things. Is he putting on a front? But then the sacrifice wouldn’t mean anything if he didn’t truly see him as a friend. He is such a complicated character.
P.S. Casca tending to Guts’s wound was so sweet.

I feel so bad for Guts. Won’t they suspect him? With the arrow wound and all?

This went from bad to worse for Guts. I feel so bad for him. And for the poor kid Adonis.

The Behelit necklace stopped the arrow? This is insane luck. And not only Griffith is not dead, but he is now a hero who saved the princess from an assassination attempt. And now Griffith sends Guts to kill Julius? He’s not the most discreet. I wonder why he chose him of all people. Is it trust? Or disposability? I don’t know.
