I’m still mourning Duane while, apparently, none of the kids are too outwardly fazed 😭 Dale the most, I guess.

I need Jim to lock in before he ACTUALLY dies from these things. The constant rain is scary; the bell that tolled with Duane’s death makes me think back to when he read something about it needing a second sacrifice for the “apocalypse.” Tubby’s appearance in the flooded basement worries me

Everyone’s in the thick of it now. Duane is the actual MVP of figuring all this stuff out, I just wish he’d talk to the group about it. They’ve all seen something (I haven’t heard much from Kevin, admittedly), so all they need it to validate each other’s experiences and get going

They’re finally discussing what they’ve been seeing. I worry for Jim—he’s probably fine, but really spooked after what happened at the school. If they can convince him to talk then hopefully the Bike Patrol can progress in their investigation

Cordie being an ally? Dale now knows Tubby’s disappearance stems from Old Central. Interesting…..

What’s the deal with Roon, Doubbet, and Van Syke…..and the WWI soldier…..interesting

I’m in awe of the vibe of this book it feels so real and full of life; as the boys ride around Elm Haven at sunset I could vividly picture the town and the corn fields and stuff like wow wow wow

Also, insanely terrifying and I’m only six chapters in. Did not expect things to happen so quick. The scene with the truck made me nauseous with how descriptive it was. So unbelievably excited to see where this goes!!!
