Took a bit for the story to warm up, and now it's easier to hear past the old-timey language. The king and the duke are my favorite characters so far. The advantage of reading it as an audiobook is that you don't have to get stuck on all the phonetic renderings of the dialects, but oh, wow, my lifetime count of hearing utterances of the n-word will have increased tenfold by time I'm finished 😳
