One of my favorite books!

I enjoyed the book, too. It really draws the reader into a journey that prompts a deeper understanding of how the past informs our present. The characters were well written and engaging. The time travel device helped see the past vividly, the present not so much. But perhaps that is the reason why the author took us on this journey. Our past is our present in so many ways. It never goes away and cannot be erased.
