I just cannot... this one came recommended in a list of "read if you like Over the Garden Wall", which also included The Book of Lost Things ❤️.
I am at chapter 6 and could not care less about these characters and, if I actually have to read to "about 25 chapters" for it to get interesting, I think it's just a poorly-written story.
I'm giving up on it.
Alice is unlikeable. Her mom is unlikeable. DNF
