Fourth Wing/Xaden were A LOT of people intro to romantasy. (Mine included as an adult) besides, that’s the thing with HYPER POPULAR books like FW with high praise comes raised expectations, which it might not have met. (same could be said for ACOTAR as it doesn’t get more hyped up than that series) reading is highly subjective one person 6 star series is another’s dnf. 🤷♀️

And I don’t mean it in a bad way, I guess? It may seem that way. I really had high hopes because not only for the hype, but because of the dragons and the dragon academy. I really wanted to like it because it seemed very interesting and thought it could be my thing. 😭😔
