honestly do not even really care what happens, I love the protagonist so much. "Was I in trouble? I had looked at porn on my company laptop so many times that I got a bug that IT needed to fix last week, though I’d assumed they weren’t able to source where the virus had come from".

the deeply unlikeable female narrator has been like scratching a really deep itch recently. Like getting to fantasize about what life might feel like if you were someone who let bad things that had happened to you turn you cold instead of going the exhaustive route of personal responsibility. While it’s obvious this does not actually make their lives better, there is relief in imagining never carrying that weight
