Starting this book by Dr. Ryken, Sr.! Really grateful that there's resources like this for reading hymns as a literary work, not just a jumping point to talk about the stories behind the hymns (which pretty much all other non-academic hymns books are). The stories are great, don't get me wrong, but this is more what I've been looking for.
