Face palm. Oh-eight-hundred means MORNING, not NIGHT. Saying “oh-eight-hundred tonight” is like saying “8am tonight”. You wouldn’t add “night” or “morning” after a time given in standard military time, it’s already built IN. If he meant 8pm, he would have said twenty-hundred. And he’s the CAPTAIN of the ship saying that…this bodes poorly for their mission.

Ok. Lots of grief and rather negative outlook on God and religion. Makes sense given his grief, but not my fav. So far the narrator is really quite good.
