I watched a video recently talking about how the wealthy educated whites are overrepresented in literature even to this day, and this book is not helping beat the allegations. but the line on the first page, "In a vision, he saw the sea rising up to suck them in, tonguing off their flesh and rolling their bones over its coral molars in the deep." what a fucking line
