This was my favorite book of all time in the early 80’s. I reread Still Life with Woodpecker, and it didn’t age well, either with the times or with my maturity level. However, Jitterbug Perfume is still holding all that magic, insight, philosophy, and superior craftsmanship that I remember. Glad I’m able to reread it almost 40 years later.
