"The Darkness:
Degraded from self to other-like by distance thought cannot cross. All I have left is the sense that once, I was not so constrained.
Maddening to know this, yet not know WHY.
An ancient memory shattered into a thousand pieces and carried to every corner of the world."
Oddly human sentiment...ever quest for WHY.

Making our way across the "ocean" and meeting new parts of a different whole. Both are on verge of realizing the other true intelligence but rationalizing away that possibility still even after everything.
This book is complex and rich and brings so much for my mind to chew on. I'm only listening a few chapters at a time to slow walk to the delicious end.
NO ONE makes unique aliens like Adrian!

Not a 'background' story. This demands FULL attention of my brain 🙏🥹
A first contact so alien humans can't understand what their eyes are showing them.
Classic Tchaikovsky and I am hooked!
Delightful that audiobook narrator is same as his Final Architect series (another brilliant mind bending space opera).

SO EXCITED 😆
A new Tchaikovsky series 🙌 hands down the greatest modern sci-fi author of my time.
Strapping in for mind blowing space opera
