Agree with the sentiment that in some cases, “globalization is standardization”. However, this implies that Roy prefers countries preserve their own culture and society, and also criticizes nationalism when used by governments for monetary/privatization purposes. I’m curious then, what her version of “correct” nationalism should be, and how governments should encourage that.
