They used delinquent again kill me!!!
I’m having a love - hate relationship with this book so far 🫩

I feel like I’m jumping all over the place a bit, and with that and the perspective swaps I’m finding it hard to recall where the characters all are because it’s not explained or discussed much in context with the story. Overall liking the characters and the overarching story but my biggest issue is the lack of world building!! feels like lower stakes.

So far here are my thoughts:
- enjoying the creatures we are seeing and the very high skates off the bat
- really disliking the frequent use of “little brother” and “delinquent little brother” in the first few chapters alone
- found the prologue confusing but hopefully that gets rounded out so I don’t mind a confusing start
- not understanding a purpose to some motives rn but again, let’s see!!
