It has been hard to put the book down, really enthralling to read about Maggie’s rise in journalism from writing for the Daily Cal at UC Berkeley in college, to being in the graduate program at Columbia and then on to the New York Herald Tribune.

Jennet so far has brought Maggie to life through eloquent prose. Good prologue hook that highlights a career defining moment of Maggie’s time covering the liberation of Dachau. Currently reading about Maggie’s time at UC Berkeley which has helped paint a fuller picture of the pioneering journalist. I have a love hate relationship with biographies, it can tell a deeper story but there is nothing like a memoir.
