No matter how difficult our situation, we need to trust in God's sovereignty and remain hopeful that He is working behind the scenes. We should also be encouraged to pursue our faith even more diligently whenever outside pressures increase.

When we understand that the universe doesn't revolve around us but that we are part of God's plan, the weight and pressure can come off our shoulders and be placed on God. Our confidence comes from knowing that He works everything out for our good.

The more we choose to focus our attention and obedience to God's Word, the more we will be in line with His will and provision. The opposite is also true: If we try to mix worldly ways with God's ways, we are walking ourselves toward destruction.
