very beautiful, vivid descriptions of palestine, of the fruits and the flowers and the almond and olive trees and the harvest. feel like you didn’t really get these when she was in kuwait or jordan. I feel like there was more inner thoughts/dialogue earlier but as she grows up it gets more detailed and mature. I’m sure some of this is because of the narrator’s repression as well as the benefit of hindsight
